Texas Two-Step: Wakeboard Star Harley Clifford Takes Ft. Worth Stop, Nicola Butler Claims Women’s Division

It was an all-too-familiar dance: Oakley’s Wakeboard Team sweeping the top podium spots while making more history.

Young star Harley Clifford pushed the sport’s envelope and smashed the record books yet again, throwing down the first-ever wake-to-wake double flip in-contest to triumph at the Pro Wakeboard Stop in Ft. Worth.

“So much sick riding went down today, I’m excited to come away with the win,” said Harley, who already made history earlier in the year by landing the first-ever back-to-back, wake-to-wake 1080 in a competition. “The whole event was great and I can’t wait for Branson next week.”

The defending King of Wake is poised to make another run in defending his title and rocking all the remaining stops on the tour in his Oakley eyewear and performance apparel/gear.

But, as always, it wasn’t only the guys who had some serious fun in the Texas heat.

Nicola Butler went to town, charging with her own brand of ferocity to take the Women’s Pro Division – topping Meagan Ethell and fellow O star Amber Wing.
