Ryan was born in San Clemente, CA and still calls the Southern California beach city home. It was at the tender age of eighteen months that he first stepped foot on a skateboard. Soon after entering contests at a young age, he started winning them. By age thirteen, Ryan was pro for World Industries and had taken home an X-Games gold medal. He has since dominated the contest circuit and continues to be one of the outstanding forces to reckon

  • Oakley Women Athletes to Take NBC Spotlight on the WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS® - Aug. 28

    Oakley’s female action sports athletes have been owning their respective sports for quite some time. It’s only fitting that they’d be featured on NBC’s weekend show, WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS®, for pushing the envelope each and every day.

    This Saturday’s episode (Aug. 28), set to air at 3:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. PT, will be heavily laced with Oakley team riders. US Open of Surf Pro Junior Champions (including O’s Sage Erickson) will get some love, while a beautiful collection of our female athletes will be featured as a part of the Oakley “Uniquely” campaign – a six-section, travel-inspired women’s multi-sport film.

    A lot of the good ones die young, as they say. And it’s just as true in Skateboarding as it is anywhere else.

    Through this bitter line, Oakley’s Love and Guts – Eyes Wide Open – Art Show was born in Southern California back in 2005, paying homage to those involved with skateboarding who have lost their lives too soon.

    After traveling the world for a few years, Love and Guts finally found its way home.
