Working For A Living: Dropping In At Snow Park

Cabin fever had set in to the highest degree after a four day storm took over the North and South islands. But sun finally broke out and the Oakley snow team ran for the hills! And ended up at Snow Park ski and snowboard freestyle resort between Wanaka and Queenstown in New Zealand.

Oakley’s Snowboard and Ski team was in town for the Fall 2012 Technical and Lifestyle catalogue shoot. And this was the day to let the boards run and get some shots. Like they say… TIme To Do Work!

The diverse crew was lapping the quad chair warming up for the shoot. Snowboarders Eero Ettala, Marie France Roy and Jake Blauvelt checked out the box and jib line plus the high speed side runs to get the blood flowing.

Skiers Simon Dumont, Grete Eliassen and Seth Morrison were skiing runs all over the park, pipe and groomers. All the athletes had friends at the resort and were catching up in the lift line and seeing what everyone had been up to ]]this summer.

Known for is superpipe, jump line and box run. Snow Park is a freestyler’s dream! And in the past years they keep upgrading the experience with additional lodging, more food options and lodge facilities.

Here is what they have to say about the resort, " Snow Park NZ, a boutique mountain resort tucked away in the stunning Southern Alps of New Zealand & renowned for it’s world class terrain park and awe-inspiring views, is this year presenting a wider range of experiences for anyone with a sense of adventure, be it on snow or off."
