Oakley Big Bass Tour: Kevin VanDam Classic Rolls Through Table Rock Lake, Missouri

KVD Classic 2012

The fourth stop on the Oakley Big Bass Tour saw some of the best amateur anglers in the country take to the water at the Kevin VanDam Classic this past weekend at Table Rock Lake, Missouri. Dubbed the signature event of the Oakley Big Bass Tour, the two-day open big bass tournament was packed with exciting fishing action. Anglers were competing for thousands of hourly cash payouts and of course the grand prize: a 2012 NITRO Z-8 bass boat w/ 200 HP Mercury OptiMax Pro XS motor and matching trailer valued at $35,000 for the overall largest big bass. Steven Porter topped the field with a 6.60lb bass to take home the championship and grand prize.

Oakley angling legend Kevin Van Dam was on site and emceed Saturday & Sunday’s weigh-in held at Big Cedar Lodge marina.

The next Oakley Big Bass Tournament stop is the Quantum Big Bass Classic scheduled for June 2-3, 2012 on Fort Gibson Lake in Oklahoma. Congratulations to Steven and best of luck the rest of the season.
