Oakley Volunteers Join Forces to Support Families Affected by Autism

Oakley employees came out in force once again to volunteer for the 5th Annual Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) Family Picnic in Anaheim, California.

TACA created a fun, safe and judgment-free environment for kids and their families affected by autism. Families enjoyed food from TK Burgers and The Lime Truck (winner of the Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race” Season 2), carnival rides, pony rides and live music.

Oakley employees spent the day helping out with different activities and interacting with the kids. Daphne Felicitas, a regular volunteer at the picnic and Manager of Global Training and Leadership at Oakley said, “I always love this event — its fun being around the kids and it’s such a great cause.”

Oakley has been volunteering at events for TACA for more than 6 years and Oakley’s special edition TACA sunglasses have raised $300,000 for the organization since 2010. Susan, a TACA staff member remarked, “We can always count on Oakley. They are always enthusiastic volunteers at our TACA picnic.”

Talk About Curing Autism is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families affected by autism. For more information about TACA or to support the cause, visit www.tacanow.org.
